Project Leader

Reports to: Business Development Manager

Role: The Project Leader must interface with salespeople, prospects and customers to translate needs into a process that can be implemented in our facility. Conceive a plan that is capable of producing profit for the company while satisfying customer needs. Plan, design, and strategize with sales people to acquire orders for product or services.

Essential Responsibilities: Hands on position leading a team that conducts research, synthesis, and experimentation on substances of high value and small volume. Supervise projects working closely with customers, chemists, and chemical operators/technicians to ensure the manufacture of quality products. Set up, process, and manage small scale projects using a variety of equipment, including reaction and engineering schemes and techniques, reactor and distillation systems, filters, extractors, autoclaves, pumps, and centrifuges, as well as analytical equipment.

Requirements: B.S. in Chemical Engineering or related discipline plus 5-years relevant chemical manufacturing experience. Proven problem-solving ability. A demonstrated ability to multi-task in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Minimum occasional lifting requirement of 65 lbs. from the knees and waist. Must be able to work flexible hours.
